‘Bilawal lineage’
APROPOS the letter (April 5). One is well within one’s rights to restore, add and change one’s name whenever one deems appropriate. It may be done for some advantage best known to the individual.
Even if it is done for political advantage, political rivals should not feel disadvantaged as rivals. I feel politicians should be large-hearted enough and also resilient and should rely on their own strengths instead of feeling threatened by the strengths of others.
In my opinion the point raised by the writer is in bad taste as it reflects adversely on the mindset of the young leader of the Pakistan People’s Party. His rivals should not resort to petty mudslinging that will not stick and instead talk about pressing issues.
