LARKANA: Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Aneela Atta-ur-Rehman on Friday asked additional registrar Prof Dr Shahida Magsi to take over the charge of registrar till the appointment of a full-fledged registrar.

Her action came after registrar Prof Dr Afsar Ali Bhutto in his letter (SMBBMU/Reg/449) dated April 18 sent to the Sindh chief minister alleged that the university’s management was working against the interests of the institution and being run as a “private commercial company”.

He said he had decided to resign from the post.

However, additional registrar Prof Dr Magsi has said that Dr Afsar Ali Bhutto, a retired associate professor of the Chandka Medical College working as the registrar of the SMBBMU under an interim arrangement is relieved from his post with immediate effect.
