ISLAMABAD: After an exciting fight, Wapda’s Sanaullah defeated Army’s Mohammad Azhar 3-2 to move into the semi-finals in the 91kg contest during the National Boxing Championship here at Amir Khan Boxing Gymnasium of the Pakistan Sports Complex on Wednesday.
On third day of national championship, boxers from Army and Wapda’s boxers dominated with nine boxers from each side moving into the last four in various weight categories.
In another close contest, Abdul Samad from Balochistan beat Pakistan Air Force (PAF) boxer Saeed Anwer 3-2 to reach the semis in the 69kg competition.
