Learning to socialise as an introvert

This is with reference to the cover story “Learning to socialise as an introvert” by Sadia Maqsood (YW, April 6). I liked the article very much and all the tips given by the writer were worth following.

Most introverts don’t socialise because their silence and reserved nature is taken as a sign of arrogance and pride by most people. So introverts prefer to remain in their shells, however, this article gave many tips on how introverts can handle social gatherings.

A mean prank

This is with reference to the story “A mean prank” by Sajan Ali (YW, April 20). To some the story will be amusing, but in reality it gives us a very important lesson that we should not take advantage of others’ weaknesses, which can actually be a fear of something.

Those who take others’ weakness as fun can ruin their lives, as no one knows how deeply someone is scared of something. So it is better not to take their fears or weaknesses for granted.

Student and exams

This is with reference to the article “Students and exams” by Umar Shaheen (YW, April 20). The writer drew realistic and interesting picture of how students behave before and during exams.

I agree with the writer that most students waste their time in other activities or remain glued to their electronic gadgets. Thus, at the last minute, they opt for cheating in exams.

Parents should keep a check on their kids and should always guide them instead of insulting or scolding them.

The article “Student and exams” by Umar Shaheen was a timely article and I really liked it because it depicted the situation of most children during exam time. We students don’t take out adequate time to study on daily basis.

We have ample time to give to each activity at home, but we waste it in useless things this is why we become desperate during exams. Very few students manage their time to study well.

Leash the devil within

This is regarding the story “Leash the devil within” by Saira Owais Adil (YW, April 20). I appreciate the way the writer advices her readers to manage their anger.

She did this nicely by defining the resentment of Sonia in the story and then how she learned to overcome this. After reading this article, I am now aware of how to deal with an enraged person.
