Website review: Gardening is really fun
This vacation let’s plan to plant trees and do gardening on even the smallest space you have and make the environment green. To do so, you will of course need some guidelines and tips on gardening and the site that provides a good learning material and guidelines is https://kidsgardening.org/gardening-toolbox/ — a place where you learn gardening and connect to nature in an amazing way.
Although this website is quite detailed as it also offers grants and other programmes to children, you don’t need to get into much detail, just click the ‘Gardening Toolbox’ from the categories given in the menu on top of the home page. Clicking this tab will open a drop down list with ‘Gardening basics’, ‘Gardening activities’ and ‘Gardening guides’.
First, Gardening basics, this section tells you things you don’t have any idea about for instance, how to save seeds for the right seasons, indoor gardening, when to plant seeds and a lot more which I am sure most of you interested in gardening will be excited to know.
Gardening activities, as the title suggests give your gardening skills a boost on various activities that you can do such as, making leaf and flower prints, how you can indulge in scavenger hunt in the garden, or make a worm composting bin if you are not scared of these creepy crawlies, etc.
Lastly, the Gardening guides, as you click this section, a page with various fruits, vegetables and flower pictures open up. Clicking any of these will open a separate page on the selected plant with its fun facts, types, things to look after when growing it will be shown; for instance, when I clicked my favourite vegetable, potato, I learned about its fun facts, its growing guidelines, varieties, and what to look after and in what containers it could be planted and of course how to take care of it especially if bugs attack the plant.
And as a bonus, you get an easy and delicious recipe to try with that particular vegetable or fruit at the bottom of the page.
Remember everything provided on the site is kids-safe. So kids, do not waste time, make use of every minute; make your home green and the environment clean.
