Pakistani cueists bow out of World U-21 snooker

KARACHI: Both the Pakistani cueists were eliminated from the World U-21 Snooker Championship after suffering defe­ats in the last-32 round in Chinese city of Qingdao on Friday.

According to results, Thailand’s Narongdat Takantong thumped national U-21 champion Ali Haider 4-1 (65-34, 65-37, 86-6, 40-45, 63-40) while China’s Deng Haohui cruised to 4-2 victory over national U-18 champion Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir the scores being 56-38, 79-1, 18-79, 62-15, 31-52, 53-43.

Deng Haohui (China) bt Shaikh Mohammad Mudassir 4-2 (56-38, 79-1, 18-79, 62-15, 31-52, 53-43); Narongdat Takantong (Thailand) bt Ali Haider 4-1 (65-34, 65-37, 86-6, 40-45, 63-40).
