Maryam gets pledge from public to stand by her

OKARA: PML-N activists made a pledge with their leader Maryam Nawaz on Friday to come to roads when she would call them to topple the Imran Khan government.

Thousands of people gathered at Okara bypass on GT Road to welcome her on her arrival at the point on her way to Pakpattan. Arrangements were made by PML-N MNA Riazul Haq Juj while MNAs Rao Ajmal, Nadeem Abbas Rubera and Mian Moeen Watto, MPAs Yawar Zaman, Muneebul Haq, Ghulam Raza Rubera and Javid Allaudin, former minister Talal Chaudhry and former MNA Ashiq Kirmani were also present.

Ms Nawaz said the government was very upset because of our movements and one day it would have to set free Nawaz Sharif. The public had seen the footage where the accountability judge was saying that he had been forced to sentence Nawaz Sharif.

She said bread could be sold at cheap rate, business could flourish and new highways could be built only if the public overthrow the 'selected' prime minister out of the government. She said Nadeem Rubera, Juj and Kirmani were like her brothers. She offered thanks to the Okara people for her great reception. As she arrived here, her vehicle developed some fault and she remained 20 minutes inside the jeep. Later, she addressed the rally in the open.

PML-N workers were charged at the reception and they kept on chanting slogans ‘Sharm karo, haya karo, Nawaz Sharif ko riha karo’.
