Independence Day basketball from Friday
KARACHI: KBBA President Ghulam Mohammad Khan announced here on Monday that Independence Day basketball festival will begin from August 9 at the International Abdul Nasir basketball Courts at Arambagh.
He was addressing a meeting of KBBA here which was also attended by Amjad Ali Khan, Abdul Nasir, Muhammad Yaqoob and others.
Giving schedule of the tournament he said that that event will kick start with an U-19 encounter between Quaid-e-Azam IX and Shaheed-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan IX.
On August 16, a girls basketball match will be played between Fatima Jinnah XI and Benazir Bhutto XI while the same day the boys event match will kick start with a match between Allama Iqbal XI and Sardar Abdur Rab Nishter XI.
On August 19, the Independence Day Invitational Basketball tournament will begin under the auspices of Abdul Nasir Academy while the Junior Basketball tournament will begin from Sept 1 and will continue till Sept 8.
And last but not the least a tri-partite basketball event will be played between Karachi, Hyderabad and Tando Alayar teams.
