Killer of six kin may have been ‘incited by his wife’

SARGODHA: The man who committed suicide on Tuesday after killing six members of his brother’s family might have been incited to do so by his estranged wife, police sources said on Wednesday.

According to police sources, the deceased, Nooruddin, who got a masters degree from the University of Sargodh was married to a girl from Bajore and was jobless.

The sources said Nooruddin and his wife had been living with his (Noor’s) elder brother Muhammad Akbar.

They said Akbar and his family had allegedly beaten Noor’s wife mercilessly over some domestic issue after which she left their house and started living with her parents.

The police sources said that call data of Noor’s mobile phone showed that he was in contact with his wife.

They said the police suspected that Noor might have been incited by his wife to take revenge of her insult from his brother and his family members.

The sources said though the police had registered a case against the deceased, his wife could also be involved in investigation.

Meanwhile, locals said Nooruddin was brought up by his elder brother who also bore expenses of his education. However, since his marriage, Noor had started demanding his share in the family’s property, but Akbar was not willing to accept his demand.
