55 dengue cases reported in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD: At least 55 dengue cases have been confirmed in Abbottabad district so far, according to official figures released on Saturday.

Of these cases, 28 were treated in the Ayub Teaching Hospital and 27 in the district headquarters hospital.

ATH media manager Amber Javed said that an isolation ward had been established in the hospital for treatment of dengue patients.

Health officials have started fumigation and launched awareness campaign about the vector-borne disease in different parts of Abbottabad district.

Most of the dengue cases have been reported from Sherwan village of Havelian, said a health department coordinator.
