Abbottabad syllabus text

IT is common knowledge that textbooks of regional boards are full of mistakes, typographical errors, outdated information and even factual errors. To be fair, this much is expected considering the poor administration and the low budget allotted to the education department.

The baffling part is that students are expected to reproduce such information, even knowing that these are factually incorrect. For instance, in the biology book, optimum temperature for human body is given at 40° centigrade.

This is wrong as at this temperature a person may die. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Besides having many errors the syllabus is outdated and not up to international standards. The students and teachers are aware of these deficiencies. When will relevant authorities take notice?
