ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday linked extension in filing of income tax return with payment of 95 per cent due tax before Sept 30.

An official statement issued said that the FBR has directed all the chief commissioners of income tax to ensure that before granting extension in the date of filing of income tax returns for the tax year 2019 that 95pc of the admitted tax liability is paid before the last date of Sept 30.
