Minor boy kidnapped, raped and killed in Daska village

SIALKOT: The body of a nine-year-old boy was found in a field of village Jessarwala on Monday. Unidentified people killed him after kidnapping and raping him.

Labourer Qamar Javaid’s son went missing while playing in street in front of his house on Sunday. Later, local people found his body in the field on Monday morning. His arms and legs were tied with ropes and mouth was gagged with a piece of clothe. The Daska police said they were unaware of the identity of the suspects. The police got autopsy of the body done at the Daska Tehsil Headquarters Civil Hospital and later handed over the body to the family for burial.

The discovery of the body and ensuing autopsy report enraged the local people who took to the street with the grieving family members and heirs by placing the body on main Daska-Sialkot Road near village Jessarwala-Daska. They lodged a very strong protest against the incident. Women beat up their chests while men cried. They kept the traffic blocked for three hours from 11am to 2pm demanding early arrest of the accused.

They chanted slogans against the Daska Sadar police for not mentioning the section of rape in the FIR.

Later, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sheikh Shahid Ikram and Inspector Haji Javaid Hussain negotiated with them and assured them about the early arrest of the accused. On their assurance, the protested dispersed. In the late evening development, the Daska Sadar police also included the sections of kidnapping and rape in the case. These sections were molestion after abduction as well.

District Police Officer Mustansar Feroz visited the family of the victim and pledged them the early arrest of the suspects. The family demanded Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Inspector General of Police Punjab Arif Nawaz provide them justice.

DIE: Sisters Attiya Khanum and Shehnaz Bibi were killed and a minor girl sustained serious burn wounds in a midnight gas cylinder blast at their home in village Seeor-Phalora, Pasrur. Attiya and Shehnaz, both married women, were at their parents home.

When, they were preparing milk for Attiya’s minor daughter Dua Fatima (2), the gas cylinder exploded. Both died at the scene while the minor girl was injured and was shifted to the Mayo Hospital in Lahore from the Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital.

Doctors said that her 85 per cent of the body had suffered burn wounds.
