Karachi Under-18 win Shaheed-e-Millat basketball

KARACHI: Karachi U-18 basketball players are seen with chief guest Mohammad Naseem and KBBA offficials after winning the Shaheed-Millat basketball tri-series.

KARACHI: Karachi under-18 basketball team defeated St Pat’s School 54-39 to win the Shaheed-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan triangular basketball tournament here at the Abdul Nasir Arambagh courts on Sunday.

Karachi players displayed superb game to completely outplay their opponents. The main scorers for Karachi were Shariq Suleman (18 points), Nofil Ali (14 points) and Saad Salahuddin (10 points) and Hasan Ali (8 points).

For St Pat’s School, the leading scorers were Asad Khan (12 points), Sohail Awan and saad Awan (10 points each).

In the earlier matches on the tri-series, Karachi under-18 beat Reflection School 40-39 while St Pat’s beat Reflection School 38-35.

KDA’s media coordinator M Naseem was the chief guest on the occasion and distributed prizes among the teams and the players. He announced that the KDA Super Cup basketball championship will be held in the city after the 33rd National Games.
