Cook-it-yourself: Chocolate spread brownies

I have yet to come across a person who doesn’t love brownies and these are one of the first things people make when they start out with baking. There are zillions of brownies out there and so many different textures, with the main ingredient being chocolate in some form.

Today we are sharing a very simple and super easy brownie recipe that is one of the best I have tired or made. It’s Chocolate Spread Brownies, with just four ingredients. Basically I made a few simple changes to a Nutella brownie recipe and came up with this one that is just too yummy. Instead of Nutella, which is very expensive these days, I used a local hazelnut chocolate spread that tastes just as good and the result was awesome!

These turned out to be moist brownies and if you want a very fudgy, super moist texture, skip the baking powder and reduce the flour from one cup to half-a-cup only.

You will only need an adult to handle the oven part, the rest of the steps are so simple as you just have to put everything together in a bowl, mix a bit with a whisk or spoon — and it’s ready to go into the oven for 20-15 minutes. Seriously, it won’t take you more than five minutes to do all the work and just wait for it to come out warm and sweet from the oven.

Ingredients

• 250g (1 medium jar) Hazelnut chocolate spread

• 2 large eggs

• 1 cup flour

• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Method

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare an eight-inch square baking pan by lining it with butter paper. The butter/baking paper makes it easy to take out this super moist brownie without the fear of breakage. If you don’t have butter/baking paper, you can also just grease the pan well, sprinkle some flour evenly for a light coat and pour the mixture in it.

Mix chocolate spread and eggs in a medium bowl until combined. Add flour and baking powder. Mix until combined.

Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes or until a knife or toothpick comes out clean.

Serve and enjoy while it is warm!
