Classic car show held at Peshawar Services Club

PESHAWAR: A classic car show was held at the Peshawar Services Club on Sunday, displaying around 60 vintage cars.

The show was part of the 10th Khyber-Karachi annual classic car rally which started from the Khyber Rifles headquarters in the tribal district on Saturday, and reached the Peshawar Services Club on Sunday, where people from different walks of life had gathered to have a glimpse of the classic cars.

Provincial minister for environment Ishtiaq Urmer was also there to welcome the drivers of the classic cars.

The annual vintage and classic cars show and rally are being organised by the Heritage Motoring Club of Pakistan, Land Rover and Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The car rally would reach Mazar-i-Quaid in Karachi on Nov 29.

CEO Classic Land Rover Asim Durrani said vintage cars dating from 1934 to 1970 were taking part in the car show and rally. The purpose is to promote tourism and peaceful image of the country abroad, he added.
