DADU: 117 polling stations declared sensitive
DADU, Aug 12: A total of 117 polling stations were declared sensitive in Dadu district where Rangers would be deployed to maintain law and order during the local body elections.
This was stated by DCO Dadu, Aijaz Ahmed Mangi, while speaking at a meeting of officers of all the departments, ROs, AROs and the officers of Rangers at DCO office here on Friday.
He said that 146 candidates were contesting for the slot of UC nazim against 149 seats in the district while three UC nazims have been elected unopposed.
The Assistant Election Commissioner told the meeting that 1940 polling booths would be established in the district which include 908 for men and 940 for women.
He said that 533,858 voters would use their right to vote. The Deputy Superintendent Rangers said that 150 Rangers men would be deployed at 117 sensitive polling stations
