Buzdar spends eventful day in DG Khan
DERA GHAZI KHAN: We are bringing the backward areas of Punjab on a par with the developed areas of the province as I am the custodian of backward areas in Lahore.
Chief Minister Usman Khan Buzdar said in a media talk at Circuit House of Dera Ghazi Khan on Friday. Mr Buzdar said the government was establishing nine new hospitals besides increasing 9,000 beds altogether in hospitals of the province. He maintained that health budget had been increased by 27 percent. He said that he would come soon to inaugurate a cardiology hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan.
He added recruitment and promotions in the Baloch Levy and the border military police had been accomplished transparently. He announced the establishment of a journalists’ colony at every divisional headquarters of the province.
On the issue of south Punjab province, he said the provincial secretariat of south Punjab would be established soon as secretaries and other staff had been appointed.
He said the headquarter of the newly-established Takht Sulaiman tehsil would be established with a consensus on the matter. Mr Buzdar inaugurated several development projects and laid the foundation stones of schemes during his visit to Dera Ghazi Khan. He inaugurated 52-kilometers DG Khan-Muzaffargarh dual carriageway. He laid the foundation stone of construction of Ghazi University blocks and also inaugurated the E-Rozgar center there. He inaugurated a cricket stadium and a vehicles inspection station besides laying the foundation stones of BS-block of Government Degree College for Women and Solid Waste Management Company. The other projects include a new library block and BS programme at Government Boys Degree College, Taunsa Sharif. The chief minister also visited Baloch Levies Lines and laid the foundation stone of the renovation project of border military police force inn and repair and maintenance of district court roads. He also addressed the jawans.
