Khursheed Shah appears in NAB court
SUKKUR: PPP leader Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah was brought to the National Accountability Bureau court, Sukkur, from the NICVD Hospital on Tuesday in an ambulance while his one wife, son and a nephew (son-in-law) also appeared in the court, which was hearing a reference filed against him and his 17 co-accused for allegedly making assets beyond his known sources of income.
The court adjourned the hearing till Jan 7, 2020.
During the hearing, NAB prosecutor Zubair Malik and counsel for Khursheed Shah presented their arguments.
The court ordered NAB Sukkur to submit evidence against the accused and adjourned the hearing till Jan 7.
Speaking outside the court, Khursheed Shah said there was no real representation of people in the parliament because the parliament had been weakened while no efforts were made to run it, which was a matter of great worry.
He added that the parliament was being cheated, which was not good for the country as well as the state.
He said it was a critical time for the country as the enemy was threatening us, which was very a dangerous situation and therefore, the politicians should have to sit together to resolve this problem carefully.
