Bahawalpur win T20 Blind cricket title
BAHAWALPUR: Hosts Bahawalpur beat Peshawar by seven wickets to lift the NBP T20 Blind Cricket (Grade I ) Trophy here in style for the third time in a row at the Dring Stadium on Sunday.
Bahawalpur won the toss and opted to bowl first. Sanaullah and Haroon Khan put on 66 in first six overs.
Sanaullah then got out after scoring 57 off 37 balls while Haroon Khan got retired hurt after scoring 55 as Peshawar scored 197-4.
Bahawalpur in reply chased the target of 198 in 17.1 overs for the loss of three wickets. Moeen Aslam again excelled with the bat and made a sparkling unbeaten 126 not out off 56 balls with 11 boundaries and four sixes.
Tehseen (AJK), Matiullah Khan (Lahore), Iftikhar Tiger (Okara) were named players of the tournament while the best wicket-keeper was Mohammad Waseem (Peshawar).
