Signs of cracks in PTI ranks, says Siraj
LAHORE: Jamaat-i-Islami emir Senator Sirajul Haq says cracks within the ruling party are visible indicating the ministers are interested in protecting their own interests and have nothing to do with the public issues.
Addressing a training workshop at Mansoora here on Sunday, he said the PTI exposed itself in just 16 months, leaving the masses in a desperate situation and bringing about disaster in every sector.
He said serious political crises had developed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab while the central government and Sindh were at daggers drawn on the issue of transfer of a police officer.
The entire system was wrecked and needed a proper overhauling, Mr Haq said and added that the people must take a stand to protect their rights and get rid of the political elite.
“There are sugar mafias and flour mafias and the few families are sitting on the country’s resources.”
The JI emir said the PTI also proved itself an agent of the status quo and all the promises it made with the public proved a pack of lies as the party performed worst than its predecessors.
He lamented that the rulers had completely abandoned the Kashmir cause and provided Indian Prime Minister Modi an opportunity to tighten grip on the India-held Kashmir.
Mr Haq said the Kashmirs would mark the Indian Republic Day as black day all over the world. He said rallies for showing solidarity with the Kashmiris would be taken out across the country on Feb 5.
