Work on Hangu bypass soon: Nazim

HANGU, Jan 16: Work on Hangu bypass will soon begin and efforts are being made to turn the district into a model, District Nazim, Pir Haider Ali Shah, said at a news conference here.

He said work on the bypass would soon begin with a cost of one million rupees. He said he would take councillors into confidence and take steps for the resolution of problems faced by the people.

Pir Haider Ali Shah said that he did not want to indulge in confrontation  and  would strive  to  resolve  matters through negotiations. He said the protest by councillors was not the way to resolve issues and all their problems and demands could be resolved through talks.

He denied he was being held hostage by a group of councillors. He said he had constituted a committee to look into allegations of bungling in the procurement of furniture and computers.—Correspondent
