The protesters, however, allowed restoration of traffic 15 minutes later when it was confirmed that had been lodged an FIR against the attackers by Sujawal police.

Those booked under sections 324, 147, 148, 149, 337A-1 and 337F-1 include Dr Suhail Majidi, Dr Saleem Raza Qureshi, Ayaz Umrani, Bilawal Majid Leghari and Manzoor Leghari. Police were conducting raids to arrest them.

The protesters claimed that the accused attacked and critically injured the teacher in retaliation of a petty issue.
