Dir college teachers to move court over violation of copyright laws

TIMERGARA: Two teachers of Government Postgraduate College, Timergara, on Sunday announced to move court against some elements for copying the notes they had produced for students.

Talking to journalists, Prof Abdur Rehman and Prof Abdul Rahim said they had produced and compiled standard notes titled ‘The Nayab Comprehensive Series’ for students of grades 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th.

They said some fraudsters had reproduced the notes and were selling them with their names. They said they had prepared the notes after hectic efforts and research to facilitate the students. They said violation of copyright laws had disheartened them.

The teachers asked such elements to stop selling their notes or face legal action.

PARENTS DAY: Jamaat-i-Islami district emir Izazul Mulk Afkari on Sunday asked parents and teachers to give due attention to character building of children.

Addressing a parents’ day function at a private educational institution in Sanizo Munda area, he said upbringing of children was tough task for parents, but the country needed honest judges, doctors, engineers and teachers.

The former MPA said youth constituted 64 per cent of the total population and they could play vital role in steering the country out of the crises.

The students presented speeches, songs and tableaus and got applause from the audience.

SWATI TRIBE: The youth of the Swati tribe have vowed to play active role in development of the area, maintenance of peace and welfare of the community.

They were speaking at a meeting at Rabat with Rizwanullah Swati in the chair.

Dozens of youth from Rabat union council attended the meeting. Rizwanullah, Tanveer Ahmad Swati and others said their tribe inhabited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir. They said the tribes’ elders were committed to working for development of the area and keeping good relations with other tribes. They said Swatis would be organised at union council and village levels.
