Former PTI lawmaker joins PML-N
PESHAWAR: Former Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MNA from Dera Ismail Khan, Dawar Khan Kundi joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz here on Wednesday.
He made the announcement during a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club. PML-N provincial president Eng Amir Muqam was also present.
Mr Kundi criticised the PTI-led government’s policies, saying the ruling party had failed to deliver both in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the centre. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan was unable to turn around the economy.
He insisted that Pakistan needed former prime minister Nawaz Sharif more than ever before to put the economy on the right track. He claimed that the PML-N was working for supremacy of the parliament and the constitution.
Speaking on the occasion, Amir Muqam said that the ruling party had ruined the economy, but Prime Minister Imran Khan was asking the people not to worry. He said the Bus Rapid Transit, the PTI government’s sole mega project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, had badly failed.
He said the government had filed a petition in the Supreme Court to block inquiry into alleged corruption in BRT. He alleged that PTI leader Jehangir Tareen was involved in sugar crisis.
