Sukkur SIUT

AFTER waiting all night long outside the Sukkur branch of the Sindh Institute of Urology and Tranplantation (SIUT) with a severe pain in my kidneys, I managed to obtain an outpatient department (OPD) token at around 4.30am. There was another wait of hours before the doctor checked me at 10am and prescribed some medicine and asked me to come again after three days.

I spent another cold night in the same fashion, and the doctor again prescribed the same medicines for another two weeks. On this visit he asked me to seek a date for an operation from the operation theater room.

When I reached the operation theater I found an employee quarrelling with some patients who seemed extremely poor. After he sent them away, this employee fixed my operation date for Feb 20 at 8am. I reached the operation theatre on the date and was surprised when this same employee told me that he had mistakenly given me this date and I should return on March 20.

I would like to request the authorities of SIUT Sukkur to look into the matter and keep a vigilant eye on employees who cause distress to the public for the sake of a few coins.
