800 pilgrims quarantined in DG Khan
DERA GHAZI KHAN: Up to 800 pilgrims, who returned from Iran, were quarantined upon their arrival in Dera Ghazi Khan in 20 buses on Saturday. The health department has established a quarantine at a place, 20 kilometer from the city.
The pilgrims were escorted by security personnel. The district health department has made arrangements regarding the medical supervision of the pilgrims for 14 days.
Media coordinator of the teaching hospital of Ghazi Khan Medical College Dr Khalid Tehseen told Dawn that 814 pilgrims have arrived at the quarantine.
Focal person for quarantine Dr Saeed told Dawn that two suspect patients, both of Layyah, have been referred to the Muzaffargarh District Headquarters Hospital.
