Missing man found dead

ISLAMABAD: A man who went missing on Feb 29 from Bhara Kahu was found dead in G-7/2 on Monday, police said.

The victim, identified as Mujeebur Rehman, had left his house in Bhara Kahu in search of work but never returned.

On the complaint of his brother, the Bhara Kahu police had registered a case on March 2 under PPC 365. He informed the police that his brother had been missing and suspected that he might have been kidnapped.

He further informed the police that Mujeebur Rehman’s mobile was on but he was not attending calls, police added.

The body was spotted by some passersby in a nullah in G-7/2 and informed the police, who shifted it to hospital for pending identification and legal process.

According to a police statement, a kidnapping case of Mujeebur Rehman was registered at Bhara Kahu police. While his case was under investigation, his body was found from the nullah.

The body of the victim was shifted to hospital for autopsy and after completion of the process it was handed over to his family. In an initial report, medical examiner said apparently there was no mark of injuries on the body.

The family of the victim demanded final autopsy report, but they were informed that the medical officer would issue the autopsy report after chemical examination findings.

The family of the victim also staged a protest and put the body on road, but after negotiations with SP City they dispersed later on.
