Two killed in Swabi incidents
SWABI: Two people were killed and one was injured in separate incidents here on Wednesday.
Registering an FIR, injured Munawar Iqbal, a resident of Kadi village, told police that he along with his father Mohammad Iqbal was on way on their motorcycle to the city area when two unidentified persons opened fire on them near Badri Nullah Road at Zaida.
He alleged that they were attacked on the orders of Abdul Aziz of Kadi village.
As a result, both were seriously injured and taken to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor. They were later referred to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, where Mohammad Iqbal succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was elder brother of known lawyer Mustafa Kamal.
The cause of the incident was stated to be an old feud. Zaida police have registered an FIR against Abdul Aziz and two unidentified persons.
In another incident, a worker was buried alive when a well he was digging collapsed in Hafizabad area of Kotha village. Local people reached the site and retrieved the body from the debris.
