PML-N Ahsan Iqbal has urged the nation to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus as the disease "can be deadly".

"Half of the population in our country is still going about life with a business as usual [attitude]," he said in a press conference.

"This means that we failed to convince or inform or guide half of our population that this is a dangerous disease."
