Qureshi expresses concerns over restrictions in occupied Kashmir in call with UN chief

In a conversation with UN Secretary General Antonio Guetteres, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has underscored Pakistan’s concerns over continued restrictions in Indian-occupied Kashmir, despite confirmed cases and deaths due to Covid-19 there.

He called for the urgent lifting of communication restrictions, allowing unfettered access to medical and other essential supplies in the region, and the immediate release of all political prisoners including Yasin Malik, who remains seriously ill.
