SHC rejects appeal to overrule govt ban on congregational prayer

The Sindh High Court has rejected a plea against the ban on congregational prayers.

The applicant had asked the court to overrule the government's ban on congregational prayers. The ban has been imposed to minimise the spread of coronavirus in the country.

"The executive is using its powers to ensure the safety of human life," the bench said in its order while discarding the application.
