Traders approach LHC to seek relief amid lockdown

Representatives of traders have approached the Lahore High Court, seeking the court's permission to open their businesses during the ongoing coronavirus lockdown while observing all necessary precautions.

A petition filed in the LHC by All-Pakistan Anjuman-i-Tajiran (APAT) central secretary general Naeem Mir stated that the partial lockdown imposed by the government has badly affected the traders' community.

In order to provide relief to the traders, the petition has requested the court to order the government to also give out the Rs12,000 cash aid, which is being provided to poor families, among the traders under the Prime Minister's Corona Relief Fund, according to a statement issued by the APAT.
