Chakwal reports new case

CHAKWAL: After seeing a decline in Covid-19 cases, Chakwal reported another case on Tuesday.

Officials said a 55-year-old man from Gahi village in tehsil Kallar Kahar had tested positive.

“He went to Rawalpindi on Sunday where he felt chest infection and his son, who works at a diagnostic centre, got him tested for Covid-19,” Deputy Commissioner retired Captain Abdul Sattar Esani told Dawn. The patient was admitted to the High Dependency Unit of District Headquarters Hospital.

Medical Superintendent Dr Mukhtar Niazi said the patient’s condition was stable.
