Wonder Craft: My dad rocks!
Our parents are the most important people in our lives, they have no replacement and have no match in this world. While we can never repay them to the extent they have given us their time, energy and unconditional love, we can still make them happy, give them little surprises and show them that they are the ones who have made us what we are today.
Father’s Day is still a week away, so you still have time to plan something. Today, I am showing you how to bring a smile to your dad’s face with this little craft on a special day like Father’s Day.
Things you need:
Cardboard pieces (two 8-inches long and 6-inches wide)
Hot glue, or white glue
Stones or pebbles
Pencil
Ruler
Felt or coloured piece of paper (4-inches long, 3-inches wide)
Directions:
Take one piece of cardboard, draw a line, leaving one-inch from all four sides, pictures 2, 3.
Cut the centre out and paste the rectangular border on the other piece of hardboard, pictures 4 and 5.
Paste the coloured piece of paper or felt inside the hollow frame, picture 6.
Paste the stones or pebbles on the border, if you are using white glue, you must leave the completed frame for at least eight hours to dry so that the stones remain secure; however, in case of hot glue, the stones will be intact instantly.
Remember, whenever dealing with hot glue, take extra care or do it under adult supervision; picture 7 and 8.
Write any short comment or message that you want to give to your dad on any other piece of paper, in contrast to the one you have already pasted inside the border, picture 9.
Paste the paper inside the bordered-frame, picture 10.
You can also paste your dad’s picture with the message inside.
