No sacrificial animal market in Lahore
LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has sought a plan for Eidul Azha as sacrificial animal markets will not be established within the city limits.
A decision has been taken not to allow any cattle market in the city.
He also spoke about the coronavirus situation and said the daily testing capacity of Punjab had touched 12,000 and the number of confirmed cases had been declining in the province for the last three days.
Chairing a video-link meeting of cabinet for the eradication of corona, he said the total number of corona patients in province stood at 68,308 while 19,580 had recovered and 3,498 are under treatment in hospitals.
The meeting noted that the number of high dependency units in the hospitals of Lahore had been increased from 671 to 1,228. The number of oxygen-beds in Rawalpindi was being increased from 227 to 607 and 58 more beds are also arranged for corona patients in Nishtar Hospital, Multan. Now, the number of beds has increased to 202 in this hospital.The approval of the revision of SOPs for the burial of corona patients has been given and the family member could also give ghusal to the deceased while wearing personal protective equipment.
