Despite politics, Centre and provinces 'working together' to fight Covid-19: Asad Umar

Planning Minister Asad Umar has played down differences between the federal government and Sindh over measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Responding to a question about the issue, Umar while speaking on Geo News' programme Capital Talk said: "There is no need to worry about [politics]. A lot of politics is done on TV over corona, but I want to tell the nation that all sides are working jointly in the practical sense."

The minister said cases of the virus are declining in Pakistan not because the pandemic is subsiding globally, but because of people following SOPs and administrative measures.
