The Pokemon Company announced a new, team-based strategic battle game titled Pokemon Unite, in development for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

Pokemon Unite, which was not given a release date, also supports cross-platform play.

The game pits two teams of five against each other, with battles happening in real-time. Each player will get to play as a different Pokemon that will level up, evolve and learn new moves as the battle progresses.

The Pokemon Company recently announced that a new Pokemon Snap game, inspired by the original Pokemon Snap title released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64, is in development for the Switch.

Chicken Run sequel for Netflix

A sequel to animated classic Chicken Run is coming to Netflix. The original Aardman Animations adventure was released 20 years ago and followed a band of chickens led by Ginger (Julia Sawalha) and rooster Rocky (Mel Gibson) as they attempted to escape from a chicken farm.

The new film will follow Ginger and Rocky as they face an all-new threat whilst their daughter Molly begins to outgrow their chicken-only island paradise.

The first film was reminiscent of The Great Escape but the second one is said to have a touch of the Mission: Impossible films.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow

The upcoming animated film, Superman: Man of Tomorrow, is set to be released on Digital, August 23, 2020 and on Blu-Ray, DVD and 4K Ultra HD on September 8, 2020; it is said that the story is set during the Man of Steel’s early years.

The plot revolves around Daily Planet’s intern Clark Kent, who takes learning-on-the-job to new extremes when (antagonists) Lobo and Parasite set their sights on Metropolis in Superman: Man of Tomorrow, the next entry in the popular series of DC Universe Movies.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC, the feature-length animated film will be released by Warner Bros.
