Clash leaves three dead in Charsadda
CHARSADDA: Three people were killed and two injured when rival groups clashed over a dispute on an irrigation channel in Shabqadar tehsil of Charsadda district here on Monday.
Locals said the firing started between the two groups after one of them attempted to use the disputed irrigation channel.
As a result of the firing, two people from one group and a passer-by were seriously injured.
However, Samar Khan, one of the three injured men, died afterwards. The other two injured were identified as Qurban and Bahar Shah, the passer-by.
Two men from the other group, Ikhtiyar and Ishaq, were injured. All the injured were shifted to a hospital in Peshawar, where Qurban and Ishaq succumbed to injuries.
The police registered cross FIRs and started further investigations.
