Ex-Thatta nazim, seven associates get pre-arrest bail in land case

THATTA: District and Sessions Judge Abdul Razzaq Hakro on Tuesday granted interim bail before arrest to former Thatta district nazim Syed Shafqat Hussain Shah Sheerazi and his seven associates in a case pertaining to the alleged encroachment of a fish farm and a piece of private farmland, attempting to usurp them, threatening the owner with dire consequences and harassing him and his family members.

The FIR against Sheerazi and his associates — Eidoo, Wahid, Khuda Bux, Nazar Ali, Ali Hussain, Ashraf and Altaf — was registered at the Sujawal police station on Monday (July 27) on the complaint of Ghulam Rasool Soho son of Haji Khair Mohammad Soho, the uncle of MPA Heer Soho.

The Second Additional Sessions Judge, Irshad Hussain, had ordered registration of the case against the suspects on a criminal miscellaneous petition (No. 580/2020) filed by Ghulam Rasool Soho under Section 154 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).

On Tuesday, Sessions Judge Abdul Razzaq Hakro granted interim bail before arrest to the suspects in a sum of Rs30,000 each.
