Media briefing on govt’s two-year performance today
ISLAMABAD: A team comprising eight members of the federal cabinet will brief the media on the two-year performance of the present coalition government led by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday (today).
According to an official announcement made by the Press Information Department here on Monday, the briefing to the press would be given by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar, Adviser to the PM on Finance and Revenue Dr Hafeez Sheikh, SAPM on Information retired Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, Minister for Industries Hammad Azhar and Minister for Communications Murad Saeed.
Cricketer-turned politician and PTI chairman Imran Khan had taken the oath as prime minister on Aug 18, 2018, after the PTI emerged as the single largest party in the general elections held on July 25 the same year.
The briefing has been arranged at 10.45am, whereas Prime Minister Khan has also convened a meeting of the federal cabinet at 12noon for which the Cabinet Secretariat has already issued a 10-point agenda.
