Three held for assaulting teenage boy in Charsadda

CHARSADDA: The police have arrested three persons for assaulting a teenage boy at gunpoint. Their fourth accomplice is still at large.

An official at the city police station said Nadeem and Mohammad Shoaib, residents of Fazalabad Dhab Banda area, were arrested on Tuesday, whereas Taimoor was apprehended on Wednesday on the lead provided by his accomplices.

The official said police parties had been raiding different locations to apprehend the fourth suspect, Bismillah Jan.

He said the accused had confessed to their crime during investigation.

FIR of the occurrence was registered on August 18 under sections 377 and 377-B of PPC, and sections 50 and 53 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Child Protection and Welfare Act.

Complainant in the case is father of the victim, who had stated that he was informed by his son, 14, that he along with another boy was returning from a seminary on August 13 when an armed person with his faced covered took both of them to a deserted structure where they were beaten up.

The complainant said the other boy managed to escape from the place, whereas his son was sexually abused by the suspect, Shoaib. He said three other suspects were also present there. He stated the suspects also threatened his son to remain silent. He added when the accused again tried to blackmail his son asking him to accompany them for immoral act, he informed him about the occurrence.

The police official said regional police officer Sher Akber Khan had ordered early arrest of the suspects. He added district police officer Mohammad Shoaib Khan had constituted an investigation team to probe the matter.
