Nawaz breached promise: Yasmin

LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Prof Yasmin Rashid ‘got upset’ with former premier Nawaz Sharif for allegedly breaching his promise of treatment from abroad.

Talking to media persons at the Chief Minister Secretariat here on Wednesday, she said Nawaz Sharif was allowed to leave Pakistan for his treatment on ‘humanitarian grounds’.

The health minister expressed her utter displeasure saying that Nawaz Sharif did not undergo any treatment in England.

She said according to Nawaz Sharif he would get treatment in the presence of his daughter Maryam Nawaz in London which is a breach of trust and promise.

She again made it clear that all the test reports of former prime minister were genuine and he was allowed to go abroad on the basis of these reports.

Meanwhile, the minister presented two-year performance of both primary and secondary healthcare and the specialised healthcare & medical education departments here on Wednesday.

She highlighted “record achievements” made in the health sector during the first two years of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government in Punjab.
