THE National Accountability Bureau court premises in Sukkur is located in the heart of a residential area which is a cause of psychological and social trauma for the people residing in this locality.

Children from the adjoining homes have begun to show psychological symptoms as they have watched countless instances of prisoners in handcuffs surrounded by policemen talking loudly and using coarse language. There have also been brawls on many occasions about which the less said the better.

The situation takes a turn for the worse when some known person has to appear in this court.

The privacy of the houses in the immediate neighbourhood has been compromised as they are fenced by vehicles of the summoned individuals, leaving little or no space to move about. This is the main reason females prefer to remain confined to their homes in this area.

The higher authorities are requested to shift this NAB court to a non-residential area.
