Pakistan Greens clinch baseball exhibition tie at Skardu

LAHORE: Pakistan Greens defeated Pakistan Whites 9-3 in the grand exhibition baseball match held at the world’s highest point of Skardu the other day, according to the information received from Pakistan Federation Baseball here on Monday.

According to the details, earlier the highest point in the world where baseball matches were held was in the USA (Denver, Colorado) which is at 5,000 plus feet height while Skardu is located at 7,000 plus height.

For the winning team Muhamamd Sumair Zawar scored two, including a home run. Other scorers were Faqir Hussain, Asad Ali, Zakir, Muhamamd Shah, Muhammad Waseem, Wahid and Nasir Malangi, who made one run apiece. For the losing side, Alamgir Khan, Amin Afridi and Fazal-ur-Rehman scored one each.
