Camp for blind women cricketers begins today

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Blind Cricket Council, for the game development and to provide access to sports for female players with visual impairment, is conducting a training camp for blind women cricketers here in Islamabad from Nov 5-10.

The camp will last for six days in which almost 30 women players from Peshawar, Abbottabad, Attock, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan will be provided training and coaching by the four highly skilled coaches and trainers.

On the final day of the camp on Nov 10, an exhibition match will be played between the participants.

The Australian High Comm­ission in Pakistan will provide funding for the camp. The PBCC has expressed its gratitude to the High Commission for its continued support for the development of blind women cricketers.
