Partial lockdown imposed in 7 Peshawar localities to control Covid spread

The Peshawar deputy commissioner has imposed a partial lockdown in seven localities of the city in order to control the spread of Covid-19.

According to a notification, no general entry or exit to the seven localities/houses situated in Peshawar Cantt, University Town and Hayatabad areas will be allowed, except for persons providing essential commodities.

All types of gatherings in the localities will be strictly prohibited and mosque congregations will be restricted to five persons only.

All shops/businesses other than those providing essential services will remain closed in the specified areas.
