Man, girl shot dead for honour in Swabi
SWABI: A man and a girl were shot dead inside a room in Yar Hussain village here on Saturday.
Yar Hussain police station SHO Raz Mohammad said on hearing gunshots a police party reached the spot and found a girl and a man lying in a pool of blood in a room.
They were shot from a close range.
A police official who visited the spot said the two were killed for honour.
A brother of the deceased man got registered an FIR against the girl’s two blood relatives.
The police were making efforts to arrest the suspects.
Meanwhile, a trader was killed by a customer in Turlandi village on Saturday, the police said.
The police said when Ziaullah Khan demanded of a customer, Faiz Mohammad, to pay the outstanding amount before being able to buy commodities, the latter opened fire on the former, killing him on the spot.
An FIR was registered against the suspected killer in Kalu Khan police station.
Meanwhile, in Managi village, Sher Mohammad was shot dead inside his house allegedly by his rival, Fazal Mohammad, over an old enmity.
The police booked the suspected killer.
Also in the day, Zaman Gul of Umardher village was killed and his colleague was seriously injured when their bike was hit by a speeding car.
Four persons were injured when two motorcycles collided on the Swabi-Mardan Road on Saturday.
The injured were taken to the hospital.
