Bilawal warns against ‘stealing’ of votes

GILGIT: Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said that he will not allow anyone to steal votes of people in Gilgit-Baltistan elections.

Addressing an election rally in Bargo area of Gilgit district, he said that in the past the ruling party in the centre would form government in Gilgit-Baltistan but now PPP would first form government in Gilgit-Baltistan and then in Islamabad.

He said that no one should even think of stealing votes in Gilgit-Baltistan because he was there and would not let anyone to steal the votes.

The rally marched towards Sharot and other cities of Gilgit. When it reached Jagir Basin, Bilawal invited people to attend the public meeting in Gilgit on November 13. He said that only PPP had hard working and dedicated activists. Everyone could see that PPP was winning in Gilgit-Baltistan, he added.

A large number of people welcomed him warmly in Sarmash. Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Jamil Soomro, Advocate Amjad Hussain, Jamil Ahmed and Sadia Danish were also accompanying Bilawal.

He said that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan and PPP had a long association. He said the ‘selected’ prime minister was sending one after another foul mouthed ministers but they did not know that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan did not tolerate unscrupulous people.

The PPP leader alleged that ministers were distributing money among people for buying votes. However, he said that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan were honourable and loyal people. “They are not for sale,” he added.

Addressing the rally in Nomal he chanted slogans and the participants of the rally responded with zeal and fervour.
