Biomedical sciences’ role in pandemic discussed
OKARA: Speakers and participants discussed biomedical sciences and its related medicines at an international conference by the Faculty of Life Sciences of the 0University of Okara (UO) on Monday.
The conference which connected speakers and participants through video link was presided over by Prof Dr Maryam Liaqat.
The conference was held in the context of the coronavirus pandemics and biosciences’ role to control and cure which is still not in sight in spite of scientists’ remarkable progress in biomedicines in the last 100 years of research across the globe.
The concept behind the conference was to introduce the real meaning of collaboration work of different fields ranging from natural sciences to life sciences and social sciences.
Among 500 participants on video link were Prof Dr Frederico Dias Nunes (Brazil), Profr Dr Svetalva Ignatova (London), Prof Dr Zhu Jianqing (China), Dr Abdul Shakoor (New Castle). UO Vice-Chancellor Dr Zakria Zakar appreciated the guests and the participants for exhibiting their scholarly commitments for elaborating the role of biomedical sciences in human life.
